Appointments
Make an appointment by visiting our Consulting Room.
For your convenience all face to face consultations with doctors, nurses and specialist staff are by appointment. Appointments can be made by telephoning, calling into the centre or online. Appointments with doctors are 10 minutes long.
A separate appointment must be made for each person.
Please note if you are late for an appointment it is possible you may not be seen. If you are unable to make your appointment please let us know at reception or over the phone.
Same Day Appointments
Children will always be seen on the same day if necessary. Adults who feel they need to be seen urgently are asked to understand that the receptionist will need to ask some questions in order to plan effectively. While you may have to wait, unavoidably, for ‘your doctor’, we stress that consultation with a doctor is always available for urgencies.
Booking Online
You can also book appointments through Patient Access. Please visit www.patientaccess.com to access your account.
To register for online services please visit complete our online Register for Online Services form.
Appointments can be booked or requested online through our Patient Services where web exclusive appointments can be booked. This service also allows you to order repeat prescriptions and view your own medical record online.
Interpreters
If English is not your first language an interpreter can be used for appointments. As this needs to be organised in advance please let reception staff know when booking, indicating your preferred language.
Telephone Advice
The practice now offers telephone appointments with a doctor or nurse
- If you have a problem which you think could be resolved over the phone, let the receptionist know
- Please give clear details to the receptionist of your problem to ensure the telephone is the most appropriate way to deal with it
- Some problems cannot be dealt with by phone and you may be asked to attend the practice
- The doctor/nurse will need to phone you back so give up to date contact details and when you will be available to receive a call
Telephone consultations will usually take place between 08:30-12:30 and 14:00-17:30. Please ensure you are available to speak to during this period.
